Electrophysiological signal acquisition related to cognitive behavior in mice Neural signal data in mice were acquired using the Zeus High-Throughput Neural Recording System. Central/peripheral nerve signals can be collected from both awake and anesthetized animals. The acquisition frequency band ranges from 0.3 to 7500 Hz, covering all types of physiological electrical signals, including Spike, LFP, EEG, EMG, GCOG, ECG, and isolated cell discharge.

We use electrodes for a variety of experimental needs, including microwire array electrodes (tungsten/nickel-chromium wires), tunable depth electrodes, microwire array electrodes containing EEG/EMG, and multi-brain electrodes.

By using a slip ring commutator, long-term signal acquisition (24h+) can be achieved. It can be combined with behavioral experiments such as open field, Y-maze, tail suspension, sleep deprivation, etc. With simultaneous video capture software, electrophysiological signals and behavioral videos can be synchronized.

Data processing and analysis:

LFP field potential data can be analyzed by neuroexplorer/matlab for filtering, Fourier transform, power spectrum, coherence, etc. It is possible to analyze the neural response of individual brain regions, as well as the synergy of brain regions.

Spike signals, first of all, are classified by offline spikes to remove electromagnetic interference. According to the experimental design, the firing rate changes of each neuron can be counted, and the event-related firing rate can be done in combination with behavior, and the firing rate correlation between neurons in multiple brain regions can also be studied.
