hardware

（1）RHD amplifiers: these are included Intan RHD a small circuit board of amplifier chips that amplify, filter and digitize signals from 16, 32, 64 or 128 electrodes. unlike traditional amplifiers that offer limited analog amplification, Intan the amplifier performs all amplification and generates a digital data stream that carries the signals from all electrodes.

（2）RHD controller: it acts as a digital hub, passing standard USB ports connect one or more amplifiers to a computer. RHD controllers come with rugged digital and analog I/O the port supports up to 1024 amplifier channels in the rack mount chassis. can use optional I/O expanders add additional I/O port.

（3）SPI interface cable:these cables connect to the controller or USB interface board that sends power to the amplifier and data back to the controller.software

free software is provided to run the system. the software allows the user to select amplifier bandwidth and sampling rate, measure electrode impedance, view live signals from the electrodes and save data to disk. recording sessions can be manually controlled or automatically triggered by an external digital signal. we also provide free software to load saved data files into MATLAB、Python or Julia , or convert the data file to NEX format.
we for Windows PC or Mac provides compiled, ready-to-run software. you can purchase it at Intan download and try out the hardware beforehand; it will run in demo mode. we provide Linux compiled open source C++/Qt source code.

electrode

each RHD a list of compatible electrodes is provided with the amplifier.

commutator

many of our customers use our systems with commutators (i.e. slip rings or swivel rings). we do not sell commutators, but we do provide an application note describing how to make our SPI the interface cable adapts to any basic commutator. also, Alpha Omega (AlphaComm-I) and Doric（ bring Intan adapter) are also available with fiber optic ports Intan ready electric commutator. since our interface cables use purely digital signals, operation with commutators is generally robust and free of motion-induced noise.
