Medusa small animal EEG & EMG recording system can be used to measure and record physiological electrical signals such as EEG, EMG, and ECG in large/mouse. The maximum number of channels in a single amplifier is 8 channels, which means that no animal can record up to 8 channels. Using the multi-brain field potential electrode we developed, each brain region collects 1-2 channels of LFP (field potential) signals, and more than 4 brain regions can be collected at the same time (the relative position between brain regions may affect the implantation of the electrodes, and the specific needs are discussed in detail). The LFP signal of multiple brain regions can be filtered, Fourier transform, power spectra, coherence, etc. It is possible to analyze the neural response of individual brain regions, as well as the synergy of brain regions. The laboratory equipment has a high throughput and can collect up to 24 animals at the same time.
It is suitable for circuit research, neurodrug research (the effect of drugs on brain regions, and the effects of drugs on circuits, etc.), neurological disease research, etc.
